Membership Process
Western Gymkhana Club is a membership based club for families. Our members come from diverse backgrounds and cultures. Our focus is always on building a vibrant and healthy club community.
Club's membership year is 1 October - 30 September. Members can join in between at pro-rata charges.
We have two membership categories - Full Family Membership and Single Parents Family Membership for single parents.
As a standard inclusion, we include the visiting or staying parents in your family membership.
We also have limited time special provision for family facing financial distress or hardship. It is means tested, do let us know if the WGC membership program interests you and if assistance is required.
Our Regular Programs
Our club's objective is to provide regular recreation, social and well being activities to the club members in particular and also to reach out and operate collaboratively with the local community.
Our regular activities are:
a) Monthly - 2nd Saturdays of each Month. A families social catch up over lunch or dinner.
b) Club's Family Men Foundation and Family Women Foundation activities to engage men and women at club in activities that interest them, generally at cost, held bi-monthly.
c) Occasional Well being program - fitness / yoga / zumba / dance workshops/badminton etc
d) Regular events for GenZ kids to engage them in activities that appeal to them
e) Participate in various community initiatives each year. Anyone can join in those events.
Monthly events and 2-3 major annual mega events for our Members (Diwali, X'Mas and Club Anniversary) are offered to members at subsidised cost basis.
Membership Fees
2025-26 Annual Family Membership is open now. Membership year is 1 October - 30 September. Members can join in between at pro-rata charges.
There are two type of memberships:
- Annual Full Family Membership is $450.
- If you are a Single Parent Family- Annual Membership is $330.
We also help families in distress and facing isolation by offering a limited time special membership option.
The membership fees, sponsorships etc take care of our monthly, bi-monthly activities and club expenses. All work is managed voluntarily by club executive team and members.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
We are a social and recreation club for families and abide by these rules:
- No business advertisements or promotions are allowed in Western Gymkhana Club directly or indirectly. No Business posts are allowed in the WGC Members' WhatsApp Groups or Facebook Group. No unsolicited business messaging to our members. No business promotion at WGC events unless sponsoring the Events as Lead Sponsors / Club Sponsors.
- No discussion on religion, business or politics in our club / club groups. No explicit messages permitted in the club platforms.
- We are a community based social and recreation club for families run by volunteers.
Members should not make any offshoot groups or kitty groups using our club members.
- Western Gymkhana Club exists to foster community, inclusiveness, and enjoyment for all members. To maintain this spirit:
- Members must not organise or promote financial schemes such as Kitty groups, Chit Funds, Committees, or Rotating Savings and Credit Associations (ROSCA) within the club or among club members or with majority club members in it
- The club does not support or take responsibility for any such private arrangements between members.
- Any attempt to run such schemes with club members as an activity, or concealment of the same, may lead to review of membership and potential cancellation.
